JAMMU, July 21: Police tonight arrested a doctor for molestation of a woman patient at his clinic in Sainik Colony area. He has been identified as Dr Manmohan Singh, a dentist posted in Kathua after retirement from the Army.
Police said they received complaint from a female patient of Greater Jammu, Kunjwani Bypass that the doctor switched off lights of the clinic and molested him when she had gone to his clinic for treatment of teeth. She told police that she raised an alarm and escaped from the clinic.
On reaching home, the woman informed her husband and other family members, who approached Sainik Colony police post. Police conducted verification and recorded statement of the woman. Late tonight, police arrested the doctor from his residence.
A case has been registered against him at Channi Himmat police station under Section 354-A in FIR No. 65 for further investigations
Police parties headed by Incharge Sainik Colony police post Sub Inspector Sushil Choudhary made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO East Mohammad Rafiq.
