Div Com reviews stock, supply position of Ladakh region

SRINAGAR, Apr 30: Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Dr. Asgar Samoon today convened a high level officers meeting to review the stock and supply position of ration in Ladakh region after the road was thrown open for public on Saturday.
The meeting was attended by Director CAPD Mushtaq Ahmad Shah, Manager LPG (Sales) Syed Reyaz Ahmad besides officials of Agriculture, CAPD, IOC and R&B etc
During the meeting officers informed the Divisional Commissioner that adequate stock of ration and LPG is available in Ladakh and Kargil.
Officials of FCI informed the meeting that 6917 MTs of wheat and 5101 MTs of rice is available in Leh while 4883 MTs rice is available in Kargil. He said the stock is sufficient for more than a month.
The meeting also held threadbare discussions on various issues regarding supply of ration, cement trucks and other essential commodities to Ladakh region, besides repairs renovation and widening work on national highway and other related issues were also discussed.
Dr. Samoon directed the concerned authorities to ensure supply of essential commodities to Ladakh region so that people do not face any difficulty for want of basic amenities. He also directed officials of CAPD, FCI, Agriculture, Forest and other departments to start dumping respective commodities to the region immediately.
Divisional Commissioner directed the transport authorities to ensure fixed rates, while carrying the essential commodities to Ladakh region. He also instructed the authorities to provide better transport facilities for Ladakh region.
