JAMMU, Dec 19: To review the progress under Electoral-Roll summary revision, Divisional Commissioner Jammu Sanjeev Verma chaired a meeting of EROs of Jammu district here today.
Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Sanjay Kumar Badyal, Secretary JMC, Sunaina Sharma, Sub-Divisional Magistrates and other concerned attended the meeting.
The concerned officers informed the Divisional Commissioner about the deletions and additions that have been carried out in different areas during the e-Roll preparation.
It was informed that various awareness camps have been carried out in various constituencies regarding the E-Roll registration.
Various issues related to the E-Roll Summary Revision were also taken up in the meeting.
The Div Com stressed upon the need to speed up the process and a close coordination between the concerned officers.
Stressing upon the concerned officers to ensure that no one was left uncovered under the e-roll preparation, he said intensive efforts are needed for inclusion of young voters. He further called for deletion of duplicity after proper verification.
