Div Com reviews preparedness of districts for Back to Village Phase -4

JAMMU, Oct 20: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar today chaired a meeting of Deputy Commissioners and concerned officers to review the arrangements/ preparations of districts for Back to Village 4 (fourth phase) programme.
The Div Com also took feedback on the activities carried out during the ongoing Jan Abhiyan launched as a prelude to B2V4.
The meeting was attended by Director General Social Welfare, Vivek Sharma; Additional Commissioner, Pawan Sharma; Joint Director Information, Sapna Kotwal; Deputy Director Planning, Munish Dutta and other concerned officers, while Director Rural Development, Deputy Commissioners of Jammu division along with concerned officers participated in the meeting through video conferencing.
While reviewing the activities under the ongoing Jan Abhiyan launched by the Government from October 15 to October 26, the Div Com laid stress on full saturation of department wise deliverables within the mandated timeline. He stressed on active involvement of PRIs, prominent citizens in Jan Abhiyan and also stressed on IEC campaigns on beneficiaries oriented schemes.
The Div Com instructed DCs to seek daily report from each department regarding action taken during the Jan Abhiyan.
The Deputy Commissioners were further asked to furnish the information regarding status of works taken up under Back to Village program I, II & III. He instructed DCs to seek details from all the district officers to report the status of completed/uncompleted works.
He said asked to scan the old booklets upload the Panchayat wise data on the designated portal.
While reviewing preparations of districts for Back to Village phase 4, the Div Com directed DCs to plan the Panchayat wise activities like IEC campaigns, saturation of schemes. The Block Development Officers were asked to make a list of launching of new works, and that of completed works to be inaugurated during the Back to Village programme.
The Div Com also instructed Director Rural Development and DG Social Welfare to make proper arrangements for conducting different trainings. It was informed that the training will be conducted for master trainers at the division level, who will further impart training to district level officers.
