JAMMU, July 25: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr Pawan Kotwal today constituted a three member committee to prioritize works for time-bound implementation of the conservation project at Mubarak Mandi Heritage complex.
Reviewing the pace of progress of the restoration works here at the governing body meeting of Mubarak Mandi Heritage Society (MMHS), the Div Com asked the committee to submit the report by Tuesday following which more agencies would be involved to take up the works prioritized thereto.
The Divisional Commissioner informed that as per the instruction of Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed issued during recent meeting, a preparatory action plan is being formulated for time-bound implementation of the restoration project. In this regard an Action Taken Report would be submitted to Chief Minister’s office by August 1.
Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Simrandeep Singh, Director Tourism, Director Mubarak Mandi Heritage Society (Member Secretary), VC JDA, Chief Engineers of PHE, PDD and R&B and senior officers of other department were present in the meeting.
Later, the Div Com also conducted physical inspection of the ongoing works taken up for the restoration of the pristine glory of the historic complex and developing it as a heritage site for the attraction of the tourists visiting the winter capital Jammu.
