JAMMU, Oct 19: Divisional Commissioner, Sanjeev Verma today reviewed the implementation of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme (PM-KSN), PM Kisan Maan Dhaan Yojana in the districts of Jammu Division at a meeting with concerned officers and Deputy Commissioners.
The meeting was attended by ADC, Jammu Dr Tahir Firdous, Deputy Director Planning, Chaman Lal, Joint Director Agriculture, B K Zutshi, Chief Agriculture Officer, F A Beat and other concerned officers while Deputy Commissioners along with Chief Agriculture Officers and other concerned attended the meeting through video conferencing.
The DCs apprised the Div Com about the total number of farm operating families, forms uploaded including number of forms accepted and number of farmers who have received payments under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme (PM-KSN).
The concerned officers informed that total 380392 farmers have received first installment while 2nd installment has been received by 306407 and 3rd installment by 226103 farmers in the division. It was informed that disbursement of installments is in progress.
Regarding PM Kisan Maan Dhaan Yojana, it was informed that total 136 awareness camps were organised in all districts in which 8310 farmers participated.
The Div Com directed the concerned for organizing camps in every Panchayat for awareness regarding schemes and registration of all eligible farmers.
He asked the DCs and concerned officers to continue the exercise ensure that no eligible farmer is left out in the process. He further asked for re-verifying data to avoid errors and variations.
Later, in another meeting the Divisional Commissioner reviewed the arrangements for celebration of Ekta Divas.
The Div Com gave necessary directions for organizing cultural programmes, marathon (Ekta Run), beautification lighting, installation of flags at important buildings and main markets. The Div com also constituted a committee for finalizing the arrangements.
