RAMBAN, Nov 23: Divisional Commissioner Jammu Dr. Mandeep K Bhandari, today reviewed the progress made in the implementation of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti’s directions passed on October 14, 2017 during public outreach programme held here.
He also reviewed the physical and financial progress of various ongoing development projects in the district.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Ramban Tariq Hussain Ganai, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ramban Mohan Lal, Chief Engineer, PHE Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Ramban Gurvinder Jit Singh, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Vivek Puri, Chief Planning Officer, Uttam Singh, Deputy Director, FCS & CA, CMO, XENs of PHE, PDD, R&B, PMGSY, CHO besides various district and sectoral officers.
While reviewing the pace of progress on major projects including reconstruction of Tourist Bungalow Ramban, construction of bus stand at Ukhral, completion of water supply schemes at Ashar, Rajgarh, Pogal and Randgali Dhandrath, construction of Tourist Bungalow at Mahu, establishment of transformer bank in district, construction of Degree College at Banihal and various other schemes, he emphasized upon the officers to work diligently for the early completion of all components of the projects for which the funds have been released by the Planning Development and Monitoring Department.
He also sought a detailed issue- wise latest action taken report on various decisions taken during the recently held District Development Board review meeting and implementation of flagship programmes.
He stressed on proper monitoring of the projects to ensure quality works and strict adherence to the timelines.
Earlier, DDC gave a brief resume of the development scenario in the district, widening of NH-44 and construction of Railway line from Banihal to Dharam.
Concluding the meeting, Divisional Commissioner directed for installation of bio-metric attendance system in all the offices, besides conduct of DPC meetings and completion of pending departmental enquiries. He also directed the officers to tour regularly in their respective jurisdictions and address the issues facing the general public.
