GANDERBAL, May 31: To review the arrangements put in place for smooth conduct of Mela Kheer Bhawani, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Shailendra Kumar today conducted a tour of the shrine along with Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Sarmad Hafeez and senior officials of the district administration.
Div Com went around the shrine complex and took stock of the arrangements being made by the administration for the pilgrims on the occasion.
He directed the officers to ensure that devotees do not face any sort of inconvenience. He stressed upon the officers to keep close coordination to ensure all possible facilities are made available to the devotees during Kheer Bhawani Mela. He directed the concerned authorities to ensure proper cleanliness in and around the shrine complex.
Thousands of Kashmiri Pandits are expected to pay obeisance at the temple on June 6, 2014.
