SRINAGAR, July 6: The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Dr Asgar Hussain Samoon today had an extensive visit of Pulwama and Anantnag districts and took on spot review of ongoing construction works of National Highway from Pantha Chowk to Qazigund.
The Divisional Commissioner accompanied by Deputy Commissioners of Srinagar, Anantnag, Pulwama and team of Officers inspected number of ongoing projects, bridges and flyovers on the National Highway.
The Divisional Commissioner directed the executing agency to speed up the work and ensure timely completion of projects within the stipulated timeframe.
He instructed the concerned authorities to complete any pending land acquisition case forthwith, so that work does not get hampered on account of it.
The Divisional Commissioner also visited proposed site for Toll Plaza at Chursoo Pulwama. He directed the concerned authorities to cut down the poplar trees and start landscaping it immediately.
While inspecting the Sangam Bridge, Dr. Samoon instructed for acquiring the nearby land which shall be developed as a tourist place.
While inspecting Gallandar Bridge at Pampore, the Divisional Commissioner was informed by the Vice President of RAMKY, Ayaz Hussain that the bridge will be completed within the stipulated time.
The Divisional Commissioner also visited Camp offices of RAMKY at Lasjan, Gallandar and Lethpora and took detailed resume of the status of construction work on the National Highway.
During the visit, various public deputations met the Divisional Commissioner and apprised him about their problems.
The Divisional Commissioner gave patient hearing and assured them that their genuine problems would be solved on priority.
