Jammu, Jan 16: A joint review of security and other arrangements for Republic Day celebrations was taken by IGP Jammu Zone Dilbag Singh and Divisional Commissioner Jammu Pardeep Gupta, with the officers of Police, Army, BSF, CRPF, Civil administration and intelligence agencies here today.
Detailed progress of on-going preparations, was taken and briefing from intelligence agencies and other field officers was also held. IGP and Divisional Commissioner emphasized on the need to have effective coordination at ground level for enhanced vigil and security measures. The field officers and agencies were instructed to maintain extreme vigil to keep an eye over anti-national elements.
IGP directed to ensure proper security arrangements in and around MAM Stadium, Jammu for Republic day celebrations and insisted upon using people friendly arrangements so that the general public may not have to face unnecessary difficulties. It was impressed upon all the officers to ensure that elaborate security arrangements are made and all security precautions taken with regard to the graceful and successful conduct of Republic Day functions throughout Jammu Zone.
The meeting was attended by IGP SDRF, J&K , DIG IRP, DIG JKS Range, DIG CID, DIG Armed, DIG CRPF Jammu, DIG Traffic, SSP Jammu, SSP Security Jammu, Intelligence agencies officers, Director School Education, ADC, Dy Director Fire Services and others.
