JAMMU, June 14: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr Raghav Langer on Monday visited Home for Mentally Challenged Children (Muskaan) at Channi and provided Oxygen Concentrators to the Child Care Institute under patronage of Social Welfare Department.
The Social Welfare Department Jammu is entrusted with the responsibility to provide oxygen concentrators to the child care institutions across Jammu division which has been donated by United Way India (NGO). Over 25 oxygen concentrators would be distributed among the CCIs of Jammu division.
The distribution started from Home for Mentally Challenged Children (Muskaan) by the Div Com. The same way other CCI would also be given oxygen concentrators to ensure that the children who already are in need of special care do not suffer for want of oxygen during the pandemic. The oxygen concentrators would provide relief to the children who in case develop Covid related complications or any other problem.
Director Social Welfare Jammu, Smita Sethi; Deputy Director Social Welfare, Jammu, Afshan Masood; District Welfare Officer Jammu, Ajay Salan; Coordinator Mission Oxygen, Raman Gupta; and staff of Muskaan Home were present on the occasion.
