UDHAMPUR, Feb 22: A team led by District Magistrate, Rohit Khajuria launched anti encroachment drive at Slathia Chowk here this evening to deal with traffic congestion in Udhampur city.
The team removed illegal encroachment on both sides of the road at Slathia Chowk of Udhampur Town.
The DDC assured that this anti encroachment drive will continue with the same spirit and vigour till all the encroachments are removed in the district.
He appealed the general public to get their illegal encroachments removed immediately and in case of any failure in this regard strict action will be taken against the defaulters.
Among others Additional District Development Commissioner, Ashok Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Gurvinderjeet Singh, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Vikar Giri, Chief Executive Officer Municipality, Santosh Kotwal Tesildar Udhampur, Mohit Gupta besides officers and officials of Municipal Council and Revenue department were present during the drive.
