JAMMU, Aug 27: 88 Students along with 5 escort teachers, with 44 from Mendhar and 44 from Haveli Tehsil of District Poonch have left for 4-day inter-state educational tour to Northern States of Indian Union, under RMSA Scheme of Govt of India.
Deputy Commissioner, Poonch M H Malik flagged off the contingent from BHSS Poonch in presence of SDM Mendhar Romesh Kumar.
Deputy Commissioner, Poonch gave a message to the students and escort teachers that through such tours students learn a lot and gain first hand experience which is not possible in the actual class room situations, while SDM Mendhar in his message to students and escort teachers stressed that such tours and journeys have a significant role in the educational carrier of the students.
Chief Education Officer, Poonch A H Fani, in his address emphasized that educational tours and trips are a major part of the whole educational process.
Dr Rubi Bhatti presented two first aid kits, one to each bus and bestowed health tips to the students.
The students and teachers will visit Golden Temple at Amritsar, Jallian Wala Bagh, Guru Nanak Dev University, Wagha Border and other historical places in Pubjab.
