District Level Inter-School Competitions conclude

JAMMU, Apr 20: District Level Inter-School Competitions of District Jammu in the disciplines of Badminton, Chess, Table Tennis and Carrom Under-14 and Under-17 Years Girls concluded at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here today.
The competitions were organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports under the Chairmanship of Madan Lal, Joint Director Youth Services and Sports, Jammu and under the overall supervision of Sukhdev Raj Sharma, DYSSO Jammu.
In Carrom Under-14 Girls singles final, Sheetal Lakhotra of GGHS Sohanjana bagged 1st place by defeating Avintika of SOS, while in Carrom Under-14 Girls doubles final, Krutika and Vanishika of DBN Amarvilla got better of Gazal and Priyanka of Wazir Janki Nath.
In Carrom Under-17 Girls single final, Sukhpreet of BSF Paloura defeated Vanishka of St. Frances Akhnoor, while Carrom Under-17 Girls doubles final, Sofia and Kamakshi of HSS Canal Road defeated Mamta and Riya of GGHS Sohanjana. The matches were officiated by Kamal Singh, Vineet, Amit Kalsi, Seema mehra and Mayank Jain.
In Badminton Under-14 Girls final, Heritage beat DPS by 2-0 sets. In singles, Pranjal prevailed over Ananiya, while in doubles, Pranjal and Suhani beat Krishika and Ritika.
In Badminton Under-17 Girls final, APS Domana emerged runners-up by suffering (2-1) set loss against rivals.
In Table Tennis Under-14 Girls final, DPS beat GD Goenka by 3-2 sets, while in Table Tennis Under-17 Girls final, Presentation Convent trounced GD Goenka by 3-2 sets.
The matches were officiated by Sandeep, Gourav Sharma, Neeru Jabalia and Rainder Singh.
In Chess Under-14 Girls final, Bhavna of APS Sunjwan defeated Samridhi of APS Miran Sahib.
In Chess Under-/17 Girls final, Rishi of BSF Paloura got better of Isha of APS Miran Sahib.
The matches were officiated by Jasbir Singh Bhau, Raman Sharma, Ravinder Singh and Nitin Sethi.
