JAMMU, May 3: A joint demolition drive was conducted by district administration under the supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jammu along with Joint Commissioner (A), Jammu Municipal Corporation, Administrator Auqaf, Deputy Custodian, Jammu with senior officers of these departments and subordinate staff.
During the drive two double storey commercial cum residential structures, one pacca wall and a khokha have been demolished, which come in the way of widening of road from Rajinder Bazar to Talab Khatikan.
The occupants of these structures posed a tough resistance but with the timely intervention of police force, which was present there in a large number, the task was accomplished successfully. The demolition operation has been conducted by pressing the men and machinery and with the cooperation and assistance provided by the police force led by Sub Divisional Police Officer City along with Station House Officers of Police Station City and Peer Mitha, Jammu.
