JAMMU, Apr 3: Various social and political organizations continued distribution of relief and other essential items among needy persons on the day-10 of country wide lockdown.
Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) with the joint efforts of the office bearers of the Association has started the process for the supply of relief material to the migrant workers, local people and needy persons. BBIA started the distribution of these goods through the Sub Divisional Magistrate Vijaypur, Tehsildar Bari Brahmana and SDPO Bari Brahmana and handed over the consignments today for onward distribution to needy persons.
It is pertinent to mention here that on the request of the Association our worthy Members like Kissan Milk Food, Shree Vaishno Flour Mills, KK Flour Mills, KC Food Products Private Limited, SKB Food Products, Valley Oil Private Limited, BD Food Industries and Rama Milk Foods came forwarded for this noble cause and requested the other Members also to provide the relief materials for the needy persons.
Amid the country wide lockdown to combat the novel Coronavirus outbreak, District Magistrate Kishtwar Rajinder Singh Tara today distributed free dry ration among the stranded migrants, labourers and needy persons. Additional District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Mohd Hanief Malik, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Pawan Parihar, Tehsildar Kishtwar Parmod Kumar, AD FCS&CA Kishtwar, TSO Kishtwar, Red Cross Volunteers among others were present on the occasion.
Advocate Purnima Sharma, Deputy Mayor distributes flour to the NGO and casual labourers and conducted sanitization drive in Ward Number 1.
Senior BJP leader and Former MLA Bhaderwah Daleep Singh Parhair distributed free ration among poor families of Batara and Shingani Panchayats in Bhaderwah Consistency. Mandal Pardhan Bhallessa Harnad Singh Rana, General Secretary Chander Kant, Muslim Morcha Mandel Pardhan Mohammad Iqbal Sheikh and other BJP leaders were also present on the occasion.
On the directions of Congress State President G.A Mir, a langer was organized by Congress DCCI and Youth Congress DCCI for poor people at Channi Himmat. Sikander Singh Kuka, a social worker from Sainik Colony organized this Langer. Jai Singh Ex Corporator Sainik Colony, Nimran Deep Singh State General Secretary DCCI, Sikander Singh Kuka, Anand Khajuria, Prabha Slathia, Arun Singh, Rahul Singh and Varun Singh were among others present on the occasion.
Sahara Educational Trust today distributed essential commodities among daily wagers, migrant labourers of Resham Ghar Colony. Vinod Malhotra, Secretary, Red Cross Society, Jammu, extended his support in conducting the drive and initiated the drive. Monica Kalsotra, Trustee, RK Kalsotra, State President, Indian Chamber of Commerce for Affirmative Action, J&K, BL Sharma, Zaffar Choudhary, Kajal Thakur, Neha Mishra, Rajat Kalsotra and Praveen Gupta were also present on the occasion.
Langer Sewa at Chadwal Panchayat and distribution of essential items continued in full swing at village Chadwal under the supervision of Sarpanch Chadwal Panchayat Seemant Sharma. Ajay Sharma, Parshotam Sharma, Bittu and Som Dutt extended their support in this ongoing Langar Sewa.
The team of The Hoping Foundation distributed ration to nearly 150 families in the presence of Naib Tehsildar, Incharge Police Post Narwal Inspector Khyatimaan Khajuria and SHO Bagh-e-Bahu Police Station Inspector Bishnesh Kumar at mini-bus stand Bagh-e-Bahu, Qasim Nagar, near RTO Office Narwal and Bhatindi.

CRPF’s 84th Battalion stationed at Chanderkote area of District Ramban distributed food items among needy people of Chanderkote and Peerah areas.
Commandant 84 Battalion BP Yadav and Second in Command Yashpal Singh Thapa were also present on the occasion.
CRPF Coy 44 Battalion distributed essential commodities to needy people at Radio Station Lawaypora Srinagar.
Food items were distributed among needy people by SHO Police Station Shergarhi.
RSS affiliated organization Sewa Bharti Sankat Mochan Dal distributed relief material among the people who are the badly affected by the lockdown in Trikuta Nagar, Roop Nagar and Pounichak areas.
Set India volunteers visited Bhagwati Nagar Quarantine Isolation Ward and distributed toothpastes, tooth brushes, bathing soaps, cloth washing soaps and towels in presence of Sudhir Bali Incharge, Dr Anil and other staff of the Centre. Rajesh Sharma, Naveen Sharma, Kuldeep Kumar were among others present on the occasion.
Former MLA Bishnah and senior BJP leader Ashwani Sharma distributed ration at Kothey Arnia on International Border among the needy people.
