JAMMU, Apr 29: Distribution of ration and essential items among the needy persons continued here today.
Tourism Federation of Jammu (TFJ) received two truckloads of relief material meant for needy people in presence of Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, UT of Jammu and Kashmir Farooq Khan and Sewa Bharti. These essential supplies were donated by ITC Limited, a leading FMGC, for distribution amongst needy. Ashish Gupta, Gaurav Mahajan, Tapan Dubey, ITC’s Jammu Branch led by Vinay Mehta, Shahid, Divanshu, Anukaran, Raman Suri General Secretary TFJ, Amrik Singh President TFJ, Executive Members TFJ BB Kotwal and Abhay Bakaya, Vivekanand from Vishva Hindu Parishad, Puneet Kumar from RSS and Joy Dev Singh from Sewa Bharti were the prominent persons present at this occasion.
Former Member Legislative Council (MLC) Vikram Randhawa distributed ration among hundred needy families living in Chatha Pind, Bandhu Rakh and Shiv Nagar of Gandhi Nagar assembly constituency. Others present on the occasion were Bahadur Lal Naib Sarpanch, Suman Devi Panch, Rommy Kumar Panch, Neeraj Gupta, Jagga Ram, Dev Raj, Madan Lal, etc.
Tiger Division of Rising Star Corps under took an humanitarian initiative to reach out to children of ‘Balgran’ Charitable Home and provided ration and stationary.
On the directions and under the guidance of Gulchain Singh Charak, Former Minister and Chairman Dogra Educational Trust, Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary, Dogra Educational Trust, Bari Brahmana, Samba distributed food items among needy and distressed families of various factory workers residing in Ward Number 2 of Bari Brahmana, District Samba. Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, Secretary SG Dogra Foundation and Sunil Kesar, SDPO Bari Brahmana were also present on the occasion.
Jammu team of ‘We The Human Forum for Nature and Mankind’ distributed free ration among 10 migrant labourers’ families at Kalu Chack and 12 distressed families of migrant labourers at Channi Himmat. The free ration was distributed among migrant labourers by Ajab Singh and Sukhdev Singh, both executive members of the trust.
The-Sara team led by its Director Dr Raminder Jit Singh distributed essential food items among 23 families of migrant labourers in Siya Gali Bhatindi Jammu.
Gandhi Global Family J&K distributed dry ration among the 30 needy families. Relief material was distributed by GGF J&K in presence of GGF President J&K Padmashri Dr SP Varma at Afghan Street, Kachi Chawni in Jammu city. Jaswinder Singh Kuku GGF Advisor Jammu, Parminder Singh GGF Executive Jammu, Raman Sharma GGF Jammu Coordinator, Balbir Singh Jamwal, Subash Bhasin, Prof MM Sharma, Dr Prem Sharma, Ashwani Arora, Shiv Kumar Kapoor, Rakesh Abrol, Sunil Sharma, Amit Varma, Sanjeev Kohli, Raghav Changotra, Robin Gill, Tahir Aktar Rana and Ankush Varma distributed the material among the needy families.
Sant Nirankari Mission Branch Jammu distributed face mask to the security forces deployed on roads of the city. Ajit Singh Zonal Incharge SNM, Ghar Singh Sanchalak Sant Nirankari Sewadal and many others were present on the occasion.
Anirudh Sharma along with Team Saada Chowk volunteers distributed bread and milk to the needy families of the Bishnah. Chairman Nations Development Association (NDA) Sushil Singh Charak was also present on the occasion.
Indian Red Cross Society Jammu Region distributed ration and other food items among 25 poor and needy families of Bhagwati Nagar and Jogi Gate. Besides, ration and other food items were also distributed among 195 families of Bhathindi (as donated by Coromandel International Limited through Director Industries Jammu) under the supervision of Vinod Malhotra, Secretary, IRCS Jammu Region.
Rohit Seth, President All JK NHM Employees Association and State Media Incharge of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh along with Rajinder Sharme, Advisor NHM, Pardeep senior worker BMS, Chuni Lal Secretary and others distributed ration kits among the needy people at Paloura.
HelpAge India joined hands with District Administration Jammu while distributing essential commodities among families of Safai Karamcharies at Dogra Hall. ACR Jammu Vijay Kumar Sharma and Tehsildar City Ravi Shanker coordinated the entire arrangement.
RSS Katra distributed fresh vegetables to 1200 families. Vegetables were distributed by Ajay Sharma, RS Manhas, Shiv Kumar Sharma, Sheel Sharma, Romesh Chander Sharma, Vijay Proch, Sohan lal Sharma, Dinesh Magotra and Gourav Arora. Vegetables distributed to poor and needy people at Katra, Moori, Kandyar, Upper Mehari, Nomani and Dhanori.
