Displaced KP United Forum highlights demands

JAMMU, July 12: All Displaced KP United Forum held meeting under the chairmanship of DN Kissu, in which various issues pertain to the displaced people were discussed.
Prof GL Koul, Chief Advisor of the Forum expressed deep anguish over Government’s failure in redressing the issues including implementation of PM’s employment and rehabilitation package.
Nana ji Bhan in his speech expressed his concern over neglecting the business class people, agriculturists, self employment people and over-aged. Government should take up the issue without further delay to rehabilitate them economically by granting 25 lakh as one time aid to start their own livelihood.
CL Zutshi, social activist, urged the Government to provide ration at subsidized rates to the people offering free langar sewa to the Shri Amarnath yatries and also appealed to release the newly issued APC cards to all the card holders.
PN Raina, secretary of the forum demanded passage of Temple and Shrines Bill and restoration of the thousands of kanals of land of temples and shrines from the land grabbers in the Valley.
CL Koul in his speech appealed the authorities to provide power supply and basic amenities in Jagti township and also setting up of a health centre at Durga Nagar.
DN Kissu urged the Government to redress the issues of the displaced people at the earliest, otherwise they will adopt agitational path.
