Displaced Kashmiri employees demand release of salary

JAMMU, Mar 19: All Displaced Kashmiri Employees Forum today demanded release of their pending two-month salary.
The issue was raised during a meeting of the Forum held today. The speakers said that the last 2-month salary of displaced employees of Jal Shakti (PHE) Department have not been released due to which they are facing several financial implications.
They said despite the Shivratri festival which is of the highest esteem for Kashmiris, the department did not bother to release salary of displaced employees.
“Due to non-release of our salaries for last two months, we have been finding it difficult to fulfill even basic needs of our family member,” they said and appealed the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to look into the matter and pass directions to concerned authorities to release the salary of the employees to relieve them from mental pain and agony.
