Addressing a press conference here today, Prof Singh alleged that corruption has crossed all the limits, favouritism and nepotism has been thriving at the behest of influential persons in the system while governance was not visible at all. Administrative machinery seems to have gone rusted. Panchs and Sarpanchs are being killed, unemployed educated youth, employees and pensioners are on the roads and the Government is least bothered about the problems of the people.
There was no control on the prices of commodities. LPG cylinders were not being made available to the public and huge rush is seen at the outlets where consumers are being harassed on the name of fresh verification. The NPP leader said that people have lost faith in the Omar Government as it has failed on all the fronts. The Governor N N Vohra who is constitutional head should dismiss this Government and initiate the process of fresh elections.

Historic Begum Ki Haweli at Radio Station Panjtirthi has been demolished and Mubarak Mandi work neglected. On the other hand Rs 35 crore has been sanctioned for so called Tehzeeb Mahal at Srinagar and Rs 12.5 crore for repair of Tagore Hall Srinagar. He said Savita Bakshi, with 35 years past service and vast experience has been ignored and one Khalid Bashir was imposed as secretary by the Chief Minister with the intentions of the cultural invasion against Dogras and Paharis of Jammu region. He termed it as deep rooted conspiracy.  He said Congress was fully supporting the agenda of National Conference.
Mr Singh condemned Jammu police for registering false cases against Young Panthers leaders Pushpinder Singh and Partap Singh Jamwal. He alleged that Panthers leaders are being harassed at the behest of NC leaders. He demanded judicial inquiry into the matter.
