Dishonouring womenfolk

Sir,
In the ancient times people of our beloved country have very diligently practised the moral teachings contained in the Sanskrit shloka ” Poojyante Yatar Nayiastu, Ramamtay Tatarash Devta” ( wherever the women are worshipped/ honoured, there reside the gods.) but with the passage of times the things have drastically changed and the scenario appears to have turned upside down. A dangerous spurt is being noticed in the realm of crime against women especially the fatal sexual assaults.
Genesis of the chronic and dreaded malaise lies in the prevalent moral turpitude occurring in consequence of the imperfect Educational system sans mandatory provision for inculcation of moral values from primary to high school level, breakdown of traditional family system wherein imparting Bhartiya cultural values was a natural process, corruption ridden system of governance, by and large unfair police investigations, sluggish judicial trials, delayed and mismatched deterrent punishments , free access to unbridled porno videos, films by virtue of You Tube. Face Book, Whatsapp etc., perverted mindset due to unhealthy social environment and lack of training of young minds in the family as well as schools. All these factors put together facilitate us to conclude that vices like 1.Instiable desire 2. Anger 3. Ego 4. Greed being inbuilt happen to be very powerful stumbling blocks to ensure 100% success rate but certainly can be drastically brought down to the minimum for smooth conduct of socio -cultural affairs and achieving the optimum of good Governance. We fervently need to stick to the basics. Mothers and teachers are the key entities to uproot this scourge from the society. They need be sensitised on these lines. Education and training of martial arts for all school and college going girls be made mandatory. All and sundry in the society have to be proactive to this issue and discharge their filial duty with perfection. While reacting to the killing of criminals who gang raped a Vet Doctor and burnt her to death in an encounter in Hyderabad incumbent CJI had said ‘ justice cannot be instant’. It is okay but at the same time pl. remember justice delayed is justice denied. Delay generates a spate of crimes.
