It is quite disappointing that Chuliskamboo constituency and Kaksar in Drass division have been once again neglected by the Cabinet Sub Committee and LAHDC Kargil by not granting them a CD Block status. The area has not been enlisted while creating new administrative units, even after people had raised their voice in this regard.
The level of injustice with the area can be understood from the fact that there is not a single Higher Secondary School or PSC in the whole area from Herdas to Kharboo including the huge populated village like Hardas-thang, Hardas-gund, Kharul, Munthang, Chanigund, Karkitchoo, Majdas, Khunda, Badgam, Haral, Latto, Kaksar and Kharboo etc.
People of Kaksar a Border village (one of the worst affected village in 1999 war) have to cross 60 Km difficult terrain to reach Drass Block Headquarter inspite of being just 30 KM from Kargil District (District head quarter).
We Appeal to the CM and DyCM to look into the matter to create CD Block status for people of this most negated area. So that justice is done with the people of this far flung area.
