Director UNIC prays for international peace at Raghunath Temple

Jammu, Sept 14: United Nations Information Centre (UNIC) for India and Bhutan, Director Kiran Mehra Kerpelman today visited Raghunath Mandir here and prayed there for peace across the globe. She was accompanied by S P Varma of an NGO – Gandhi Global Family and SHO City (Jammu) Shakti Devi. President of Raghunath Bazar Businessmen Association (RBBA),
Baldev Khullar and other office bearers were also present.
Later Kiran Mehra Kerpelman also took a round of the Raghunath Bazar and interacted with the traders and shoppers. She keenly listened to the RBBA office bearers who explained to her the project about beautification on the heritage lines of the Raghunath Bazar. She was also given a brief over the history and heritage importance of the famous Raghunath Bazar by Baldev Khullar.
After giving a patient hearing to the traders of the bazaar, the visiting UNIC officer assured to do her best in her capacity as the director at the centre to explore the possibility of UN extending help in preservation of cultural heritage and development of the Raghunath Bazar.
The traders of the bazaar also presented the visiting dignitary with mementos, bouquets and prasad.
