Director Sheep Husbandry concludes 3-day visit to Kathua

JAMMU, June 13: Director, Sheep Husbandry, Jammu, Krishan Lal concluded 3 days extensive tour of far flung areas of District Kathua to monitor the activities and programmes of the Department.
He visited Sheep Extension Centre Basohli and took stock of the working of the center. He participated in awareness camp at Bani and Lowang organized by Sheep Husbandry Department Kathua in presence of DDC Member Reeta Thakur, Tehsildar Bani, Sudesh Sharma, Sarpanches of Panchayat Halqa Kanthal, Duggan, Bhandar, Chaloge and Lowang. He also interacted with Sheep and Goat breeders of the area and informed the public and PRIs regarding the schemes launched by the Department for the welfare of the people.
He exhorted upon the people to come forward to avail the benefits of Integrated Sheep Development Scheme launched by the Government.
The public brought a number of issues to the notice of Director who gave them a patient hearing and also assured them that efforts shall be made to redress their issues as per laid down norms in a time bound manner.
He also inspected Government livestock of Government Sheep Breeding Farm Billawar/Sarthal stationed at Sarthal.
During the visit he was accompanied by Dr. Rai Barinder Singh, Deputy Director, Government Sheep Breeding Farm Billawar/Sarthal and Dr. Sahil Pangotra, Sheep & Wool Development Officer Bani.
