RAJOURI, Apr 26: Director CAPD Jammu G S Chib along with Dy Director visited Kotranka and conducted on the spot inquiry into the shortage of ration in the area and allegations raised against TSO and Storekeeper by the locals of the area including ration dealers.
During inquiry many locals alleged that they were not being provided ration as per scale by the dealers who claim that Storekeeper and TSO were not issuing full quota for the last over three months. Both the officers talked to the ration dealers who also held TSO Kotranka Reyaz Ahmed and Storekeeper responsible for the shortage.
They also visited Food store and checked record. They found some discrepancies in the record and pulled up Assistant Director Rajouri Kewel Krishan and other staff. The Director also seized some record for through scrutiny and assured the public to take action in this regard. Two ration dealers Kashmir Singh and Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din in a written complaint to Director alleged that TSO suspended their depots and the same were restored after offering huge graft. It was also revealed that 135 qtls of ration quota under Annpurna scheme was not disbursed in the area by the officers concerned. They also sought inquiry into the mater and action against the officials.
