UDHAMPUR, Apr 4: All J&K Diploma Engineers Association (DEA) discussed the burning issues of the cadre and hoped that the new Government under the Chief Ministership of Mehbooba Mufti will settle them shortly.
In a meeting of the Association held at Udhampur today under the leadership of State president Upinder Singh, many diploma engineers from various wings/ departments projected their long pending issues.
Opinder Singh while addressing the members of the Udhampur unit said that he has projected issues of the cadre before the higher authorities which include maintaining cadre strength, entry level grade and FTA. It is hoped that new Government led by Mehbooba Mufti would do justice with them.
Vinay Sharma, president District Unit Udhampur highlighted the problems being faced by the junior engineers in day today working in all the divisions. Anil Gupta, chairman DEA briefed the cadre about Punjab pattern in which a Diploma engineer is designated as AE after rendering 10 years of service as JE. He said that the matter has been taken up vigorously with J&K Government.
Prominent among others present in the meeting included Rahul Dev, Sanjay Koul, Gagan Gupta and K K Khajuria.
