Diploma engineers discuss issues

KATHUA, Oct 25: All J&K Diploma Engineers Association (Jammu) today discussed their issues and also projected the achievements.
In a meeting of the Association held here today under the chairmanship of Upinder Singh, president , the office bearers projected the achievements of the organization and also reviewed  issues of their cadre. Some issues of the local level were also projected by the members.
While addressing, Upinder Singh claimed that despite many odds and situation prevailing in the State, the Association has done reasonably well in pursuit  to its demands. He said about 472 Asstt Engineers , 80 AEEs  and seven XEns were promoted. Many posts of their cadre were created and Govt also agreed to adhere  to 20 % quota at every level  and there will be no diversion of  quota henceforth. He disclosed that 17 posts of AEEs out of 21 were released in favour of diploma engineers in the Hydraulic  Wing.
Anil Gupta, general secretary  spoke on the occasion with regard to work done on demand of adoption of Punjab cadre which includes entry level grade and grant of higher pay scale after completion of 10 years. Narinder Singh vice president, Rakesh Goswami  and Naresh Sawhney also spoke on the occasion.
