Dimple holds protest against hike in essential commodities

JAMMU, May 16:  The activists of Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) held  protest demonstration and burnt effigies of the Coaltition Government against the hike in essential commodities, here today.
Addressing protesters, Sunil Dimple president JWAM said the people of the country never expected that the prices will break the backbone of the common man. He urged the Prime Minister to  control the rising prices and he alleged that his Government has  completely failed to control the hike in the petrol and diesel prices.
Dimple asked if the Price of petrol diesel are de-regulated than the State and Central Governments should exempt Sale Tax and VAT on the sale of essential commodities including LPG, then why the State and Central Government are charging these huge taxes.
He demanded to streamlining of petrol- diesel prices which have a direct impact on fares, luggage charges and will also increase the prices and transportation as well.
Sunil Dimple warned if the oil prices were not taken back, JWAM will call for the Jammu band and with the consent of national parties we will go for the Bharat Band also.
