Dilapidated road irks residents

MENDHAR, July 11: The road in the main town here is in a dilapidated condition, giving tough time to the commuters, even as the locals demand urgent repairs of the road.
A group of locals said the road has been in a pathetic condition for past several time as the concerned department has failed to pay attention to the woes of the residents and commuters.
The residents said that the condition of roads of main town is extremely dilapidated. They alleged that the officials of the concerned department are not taking any step to provide sigh of relief to them.
They added that during rainy days, the condition of the road worsen as there are many pot holes on the road. The water enters the shops and damaged their products, when any vehicle passes through this road during rains or after rains.
“Due to bad condition of the road and lack of proper drainage system, the people are facing problems. It has become difficult for vehicles to ply as heaps of mud lie scattered over it”, said a resident.
The locals have appealed District Commissioner (DC) Poonch and the concerned department to make possible solution of their problems as soon as possible.
