JAMMU, May 6: Ramesh Chander Kataria, the newly promoted Superintendent of Police (Steno), was formally decorated in a pipping ceremony held at Range Traffic Headquarters Jammu today.
The insignia of the new rank was pinned by DIG Traffic Range Jammu, Dr Mohd Haseeb Mughal, in the presence of SSP Traffic City Jammu Amit Bhasin.
Senior officers congratulated Kataria on his elevation and expressed confidence that he would continue to perform his duties with professionalism and commitment.
Emphasising integrity and discipline as key to policing, they said the promotion reflects recognition of his service record.
Several officers and staff members of RTHQ Jammu were present on the occasion, which concluded with best wishes for his new assignment.
