KATRA, Oct 1: The DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range, Surinder Gupta (IGP), today inaugurated Police Help Desk and newly installed X-ray Machines at the holy town in the presence of SSP Reasi Sujit Kumar and others.
Addl SP Katra Sumir Kotwal, SDPO Katra Dr Ashok Sharma and SHO Katra Arvind Sambyal were also present on the occasion.
Police Help Desk has been established by District Police Reasi to facilitate the pilgrims in case of guidance, counselling, missing and any other emergency help. District Police is distributing yatra vouchers to yatri which has helpline number, contact number of all the concerned Police Officers of the District. It has rate lists of Pony wala, Palki wala, Pitthu and all other important informations like DOs and Don’ts and many more.
The new X-ray machines have been established at Darshani Deodi and Pony porters entry gate. Keeping in the view of expected rush and security scenario, with the installation of these new X-ray machines, security aspects at Banganga will be taken care of. At the same time, it shall reduce the waiting line of yatris at Darshani Deodi.
District Police Reasi has appealed to all the people to obey the rules, be in touch with nearest Police Officer/Police Station /Police Booth, be vigilant and not to spread rumours.
