JAMMU, May 9: Ashkoor Ahmed Wani, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Jammu Samba Kathua Range today donated wheel chairs to the physically challenged persons of district Samba under Civic Action Programme (CAP)-2016-17.
The main objective of donating wheel chairs to physically challenged persons is to instil confidence among them.
“Wheel chairs are highly beneficial for the physically challenged persons. It provides a sense of comforts, mobility, independence and freedom and also gain access to the lifestyle which they whished for,” said Wani while distributing the same.
During the function besides representative of the civil society, Rajnish Pran, SSP SO to DIG JSK Range, Anil Magotra SSP Samba, Sunita Kangotra CPO RPHQ Jammu, Bishan Dass Private Secretary to DIG JSK Range, Jammu and Supervisory Officer of district Samba were present on the occasion.
DIG Jammu interacted with the beneficiaries and complimented them for coming to DPO Samba despite constant physical exertion.
DIG Jammu also assured them that every help will be provided as and when they required.
