RAMBAN, Apr 30: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban (DKR) range, Shridhar Patil, today visited the popular tourist destinations of Patnitop, Nathatop and Sanasar to review security arrangements ahead of the tourist season.
During the visit, the DIG was accompanied by SSP Ramban, DySP Headquarters Ramban, SHOs of Batote and Kud, Incharge Police Post Patnitop, Tehsildar Batote, and officials from the Patnitop Development Authority and Tourism Department.
The DIG assessed the existing security arrangements at all three destinations and interacted with members of hotel associations, trekking groups, local Sarpanches and residents.
He briefed them on the recent measures taken by the police to ensure the safety of visitors and maintain law and order in the area.
A detailed evaluation of security systems in place was carried out, and the team discussed ways to improve surveillance, coordination with the civil administration, and cooperation among stakeholders.
Special focus was laid on preparing for the expected tourist rush in the coming months.
DIG Patil stressed the importance of a safe and comfortable environment for tourists and assured that both police and civil administration are committed to promoting Patnitop, Nathatop, and Sanasar as secure and welcoming destinations.
