Dharmarth Trust employees’ hunger strike enters 59th day

JAMMU, Jan 28: Dharmarth Trust Employees Association (DTEA) agitation entered 59th day and chain hunger strike in 32nd day in support of their demands to constitute a Public Board for all temples under Dharmarth Trust.
Today, striking employees took out road march with `Shab Yatra’ of Member Trustees and later burnt their effigy. They alleged that some Dharmarth Trust members were allegedly involved in plunder of land and property of the Trust and no action was ever taken against any one.
Thakur Karnail Chand founder and chief spokesperson of Dharmarth Trust Employees Association alleged that thousands of kanals of land, buildings belonging to Trust at different places were sold to even non-Hindus. He claimed that they sold 94 kanals 7 marlas land to Arif Sultana Dev of Srinagar at Lar in Ganderbal and 1674 kanals land in Jammu and Rajouri districts which was property of Dharmarth Trust.
The persons who sat on hunger strike today were Pt Vinod Kumar, Balwant, Satpal, Krishna, Faqura, Gopal Sharma, Ravinder Singh, Ajay, Anju Sharma and Vimal Devi.
