Dhaba Owners delegation calls on Div Com, submits memorandum

JAMMU, June 18: A delegation of All Dhabas Union of Jammu province called on Divisional Commissioner Jammu , Dr Raghav Langer here, today under the presidentship of Bodh Raj Dogra and apprised him of their problems .
The delegation said that the Dhaba owners of Jammu Division having no source of income except the income as dhabas being their only source of livelihood and their families are dependant on them only which remained closed due to COVID-19 lockdown announcement by the district administration.
They said even in the publication of schedule for re-opening of various establishments in phased manner from time to time after expiry of the weekend lockdown, the aggrieved dhaba owners were not considered in this schedule and were always ignored after announcing the schedule for the other business establishments.
The Union said that dhaba owners have no source of income. Even no special relief was announced by the Government for them till date. They submitted a memorandum to Divisional Commissioner urging him that the dhaba owners of Jammu be allowed to open their dhabas on daily basis from 7 am to 9 pm as the pilgrims of Mata Vaishno Devi and Shri Amarnath will not face problems. The president of the Dhaba owners demanded that their problems be redressed.
Those who accompanied the president Dhaba Union included Murari Lal Balgotra , vice president , Ramesh Kumar Balgotra, chairman, Vijay Kumar , general secretary and Kamal Balgotra, cashier of the Union.
