JAMMU, Mar 15: Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh has sanctioned welfare relief for 15 retired police personnel and NOKs of three deceased personnel in distress.
An amount of rupees 2.97 lakh has been sanctioned out of Retired Policemen Welfare Fund to cater their expenses of urgent nature. PHQ has been working for the welfare of retired police personnel and their families. “Martyrs/Retired Police Assistance Cells” at all district and unit level have been constituted to resolve the issues related to the families of police martyrs and retired police personnel. This was in addition to the existing mechanism (Savera Scheme) for assisting the NOKs of the martyrs and retired personnel in resolving their issues.
