DGP sanctions special welfare relief

JAMMU, Dec 2: Continuing with its endeavour to provide financial assistance to the families of martyred and deceased police personnel and SPOs, the Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh has sanctioned Rs 70 lakh special welfare relief for NoKs of deceased police personnel.
Special welfare relief of Rs 22 lakh each has been sanctioned in favour of dependents and legal heirs of deceased SI Ranjit Singh and SgCt Mohammad Maqbool who expired due to illness. Rupees 20 lakh has been sanctioned in favour of legal heirs of deceased HC Darshan Lal who expired due to vehicular accident.
The DGP has sanctioned Rs 6 lakh in favour of dependents and legal heirs of deceased SPO Baljinder Singh who passed away due to road accident during the course of their engagement with the department.
