DGP sanctions scholarship for meritorious wards of cops

SRINAGAR, July 7: Director General of Police (DGP), Dilbag Singh has granted over Rs 4.93 lakh scholarships to 78 wards of serving cops, which include 40 girls, for their brilliant performance in class 12 exams.
A handout stated that Rs 7,200 each has been granted in favour of 21 wards for securing above 90 per cent marks and Rs 6,000 each in favour of 57 wards for securing 80 per cent and above marks.
The scholarship has been granted out of the Central Police Welfare Fund.
