DGP sanctions scholarship

SRINAGAR, May 30: With an aim to provide financial assistance to the wards of martyred police personnel, the Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh has sanctioned a scholarship of Rs 3.12 lakh in favour of 36 such wards.
The scholarship has been sanctioned out of Central Police Education Fund for the academic session 2021-22 in favour of wards of martyred police personnel who are pursuing their education from primary to university level.
The scholarship of Rs 3000 each has been granted in favour of 9 wards of police martyrs who are studying in primary classes, while Rs 7500 each has been sanctioned in favour of those 12 wards who are pursuing middle school education.
Similarly, the scholarship of Rs 12500 to Rs 15000 has been granted in favour of 15 wards of police martyrs who are pursuing higher education.
