DGP sanctions retirement gift in favour of 91 police personnel

SRINAGAR Aug 31: Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh has sanctioned retirement gift of Rs 6825000 in favour of 91 Police personnel of J&K Police who have retired from service this month.
The gift of Rs 75000 each has been sanctioned out of Contributory Police Welfare Fund on their superannuation on or voluntarily retirement.
Order has been issued vide PHQ Order No. 3260 for grant of retirement gift in favour of four gazetted officers, fifty Non-gazetted officers and thirty seven lower subordinates including six followers. The personnel belonged to different units and wings of the department.
Retirement gift of Rs 75,000 is sanctioned to each Police personnel from the Contributory Police Welfare Fund at the time of his/her retirement.
Police Headquarters has sanctioned over Rs 5.54 crore as retirement gift in favour of 865 personnel during the eight months of this year.
The gift is sanctioned for all police personnel at the time of their retirement as a token of recognition of their service in the department.
