SRINAGAR: Reviewing security arrangements for by-polls in the Kashmir valley, Director General of Police (DGP) Dr S P Vaid said coordination among different agencies was necessary to provide security and safety to voters and people connected with the poll process.
Coordination among different security forces, security and safety of voters and the people connected with the poll process is of utmost importance for smooth conduct of up coming by elections, Dr Vaid said at a high level meeting held at Ganderbal in central Kashmir today.
The DGP emphasised that police along with other security agencies should remain vigilant to foil any attempt of the elements bent upon disrupting the democratic process, so that people could exercise their franchise in peaceful atmosphere. (AGENCIES)
