JAMMU, Feb 25: Director General of Police (DGP) Ashok Prasad today inquired the condition of injured Excelsior photographer Amin War and voiced concern over the incident at Kupwara in which Amin and other photo journalists were injured while covering a protest.
Mr Prasad hoped that the injured Excelsior photographer would recovery speedily and would be back to work.
Meanwhile, the issue of injuries caused to the Excelsior photographers and other lensmen in Kupwara was also raised in the Legislative Assembly by National Conference MLA from Poonch Aijaz Jan.
Mr Jan said the Government should make a statement in the House on the injuries caused to the photo journalists.
PDP MLA Abdul Haq Khan raised the issue of Kupwara protests and sought a statement from the Government.
Speaker Mubarak Gul said the Government would come up with its version on Kupwara protests.
