DGP grants scholarship for wards of police martyrs

SRINAGAR, Oct 1: Continuing his endeavor to provide financial assistance to the wards of martyr policemen, Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh today sanctioned over Rs 3 lakh.
Rs 1.72 lakh has been sanctioned in favour of 16 wards of police martyrs, pursuing different degree courses. Similarly Rs 1.45 lakh has been sanctioned in favour of twenty five wards of police martyrs, pursuing education in different classes upto 12th.
The amount has been sanctioned out of Central Police Education Fund to provide financial assistance to these wards of police martyrs during their education.
As head office of Police Pariwar, Police Headquarters under different heads is annually sanctioning various scholarships for police wards, so as to help them and also to boost their morale during their education.
