‘Track down elements involved in Dhangri attack’

JAMMU, Feb 3: The Director General of Police, Dilbag Singh has complimented the police officers for busting a terror module of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) in Rajouri District.
Chairing a security review meeting in the border town along with RR Swani, Special DG CID and other senior police officers, the top cop said, “I congratulate the police in Rajouri District for arresting three members of proscribed terror outfit LeT.”
“Pakistan through its sponsored elements has been targeting the innocent civilians in J&K to harm the brotherhood and communal harmony. But the nefarious designs of the terror nation should never succeed,” he told the officers.
He directed them for alertness on borders as also in the hinterland to foil the evil intentions of Pak and its agencies.
The DGP also emphasised upon the officers to put in stern efforts for tracking down the elements involved in Dhangri case to provide justice to the victim families. He directed for dealing the case more seriously by taking into account every bit of evidence.
The top cop also stressed for utilising the VDGs more efficiently. “Their (VDGs’) training and weapon handling should be inspected by the jurisdictional SHOs,” he said.
Claiming that the safety and security of the public has always been the top priority of the JKP, the DGP said “We have to be more cautious, alert and particular to avoid any harm to the public order”.
He directed for increasing anti-terror operations to track down the hiding terrorists and their modules. He also stressed for identifying the hidden OGWs and the accomplices providing support to terror activities in J&K.
The DGP said that Pakistan after witnessing massive dent on its sponsored terrorism in J&K is now supplying drugs to target the younger generation in J&K.
“There must be zero tolerance for narcotics and narco-terror trade,” he said.
