DGP commissions new Security Hqrs at Sidhra

JAMMU, Apr 25: Director General of Police (DGP), K. Rajendra Kumar has called for long term planning in infrastructure for JKP keeping in view the future requirements of the Police Organization. He said that holistic plan has to be envisaged for police housing and other related requirements of the Organization.
Mr. Rajendra was speaking, while commissioning 4-storey building constructed by Police Construction Division (PCD) to accommodate Security Headquarters of JKP in winter capital at Sidhra. He said that the works have been carried out to enhance building infrastructure and provide better facilities to the personnel at their work places.
He said that in the recent years responsibilities of Security Wing have increased manifold and the manpower strength has also been enhanced. A full-fledged building was dire requirement to house the security headquarters with modern facilities. With the adding of this infrastructure, the personnel would have a congenial atmosphere at their work place.
DGP said that modern workshop of the headquarters would help to enhance the capabilities of technical staff to provide better services.
Mr. Rajendra, disclosed that JKP has enhanced its building infrastructure by raising accommodations in all the districts of the State. Multi-storey constructions have been made to house the police offices including headquarters of different wings and armed battalions. In view of the increasing manpower, living facilities are being upgraded at all places in the State and several constructions are under execution covering various locations of far-flung areas of the State, besides district headquarters and towns, Mr. Rajendra added.
Besides DG (Coordination), SK Mishra, DG Home-guards,  Gopal Reddy, ADGPs, Navin Agarwal, VK Singh, L Mohanti and AK Choudhary, IGPs, HK Lohia, MS Salaria and Jagit Kumar, X-En PCD Rasid Mustafa and other police officers present on the occasion.
