JAMMU, Jan 14: A review meeting of all the District Treasuries/City Treasury Officers of Jammu province was held under the chairmanship of Altaf Hasan Mirza, Director General Accounts & Treasuries, Finance Department in the conference hall of PWD Guest House at Gandhi Nagar.
Lochan Dass, Director Accounts & Treasuries, Finance Department Jammu, representative of J&K Band Ltd, NIC Jammu, Sales Tax Department and AG offices also participated in the meeting.
Director General, Accounts & Treasuries emphasized the need of strict adherence to the norms, guidelines, instructions issued from time to time.
DG spoke on the important issues concerning the treasuries, of which, the foremost was implementation of the computerization of Treasuries. He enquired from NIC the latest status of computerization of Treasuries of Jammu province and also from the District Treasury Officers and their Sub-Treasuries.
He particularly emphasized on the NIC representative to ensure the successful completion of computerization of Treasuries. He instructed all the Treasury officers to complete this process of computerization at war footing without any excuses. He emphasized upon all the DTOs to have a complete liaison with their sub-Treasuries and ensure the successful implementation of Treasury net application without any further delay.
Besides all the Treasury Officers were asked to strictly adhere to the instructions/guidelines issued by the Finance Department from time to time and any violation, if noticed, be dealt with stern hand.
