DG Prisons holds meeting with Superintendent Jails

JAMMU, Oct 4: Director General of Police, Prisons S. K. Mishra, today convened a meeting with Superintendents of Jails of Jammu province.
Javed Masood  Fazili,  Superintendent  District Jail Jammu, Dinesh Sharma, Superintendent Central Jail  Jammu Kot Bhalwal, Harish  Kotwal, Superintendent  District Jail Udhampur,  Mushtaq Ahmed Malla, Superintendent District Jail Kishtwar, Sanjeev  Kumar, Superintendent District Jail Poonch, Bushan Lal Bali, Superintendent  District Jail Kathua, Mohd. Rafiq Superintendent  District Jail  Rajouri, Lazar  Khandaray, Superintendent  Sub Jail Hiranagar  and Madan Singh Charak, I/c  Superintendent  Sub Jail  Reasi were present in the meeting.
The DGP discussed in detail various issues regarding staff in different jails, construction works under SRE and security related matters.
The  Superintendent Jails of Jammu province apprised the DGP  of problems  being faced  by  them  in  their  respective  jails  besides  measures  to be taken up  for security and safety of  the prisons.
The DGP assured them that their issues will be looked into for redressal.
He  asked  all  the  Superintendent  Jails  to work with dedication  to ensure  security and welfare of jail inmates  as  well  as staff.
