Katra, Mar 2: Commandant CRPF 6 Bn, Sunil Kumar has been awarded with CRPF, DGP medal. Earlier he had also received the same medal for two times and a J&K DGP Medal in the year 2013.
After completing the training , Sunil Kumar was posted as Company Commander of 115 CRPF Bn at Srinagar where he participated in various anti insurgency operation .
He had also rendered his services in various States like J&K, Nagaland Assam, gujrat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, sunil kumar has also worked in the Naxal hit ares like Dntewara and Bijapur of Chhattisgarh and played a vital role in bringing peace in the area.
Sunil Kumar was posted as Commandant CRPF 06 Bn at Katra in the year 2012 and is still rendering his services in provind security to the pilgrims visiting the Shrine of Mata Vaishnor Devi.
Under his leadership as commandant CRPF 6 BN CRPF is providing various facilities to the pilgrims like free medical camps on the route to Bhawan from Katra, free langar facility for needy people etc. For the last four yeards, he is also organizing the Jagran and Lnagar at Katra.
Besides the DGP medal, Sunil Kumar has been awarded with various awards and commendation certificates.
