JAMMU, May 30: The workers of Dogra Front & Shiv Sena (DFSS) under the leadership of their president, Ashok Gupta, today held a protest in Jammu City by burning the effigies of Mohammad Salim from CPI (M) for criticizing the Army chief and terming the Army head as a person who has no sense of the Indian culture.
While welcoming the decision of the Defence Minister of the country to give free hand to the Army in J&K to tackle the menace of terrorism in the State, Gupta said that a free hand to the Army will lead to the permanent settlement of the situation in a shorter duration of time.

Gupta highly condemned the statement in which the CPI (M) leader said he could not defend Army chief’s views on fighting insurgency in Kashmir. He said, “This is not voice of Indian Army which I know from childhood, this is not one voice which as Indian we can defend.”
Condemning the “downright stupidity” of Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader Mohammed Salim for questioning Army chief General Bipin Rawat’s capability of understanding the Indian society, Gupta said, making condemnatory statements have become the DNA of the left parties.
“What Major Gogoi did is what the world has never seen before. He saved the lives of many people including civilians, polling booth officers and Army Jawans”, DFSS president said, adding, sitting in air conditioned offices and making such condemnatory statements has become their DNA and I think it is highly condemnable.
The party workers who were present at the time of protest were Suresh, Shashi, Sunita, Vidya, Bantu, Sudesh, Shamo, Nikki, Ram Pal, Abhishek and various others.
