JAMMU, Mar 20: The workers of Dogra Front & Shiv Sena (DF&SS)under the leadership of president Asohk Gupta took out a protest here today against the settlement of Rohingyas-Bangladeshis in Jammu and alleged that it is a plot to reduce the Dogra population and  changing the demography of Dogra land.
While addressing the media, Ashok Gupta revealed that post 2012 conflict in Myanmar (Burma), several thousands of Rohingyas who were forced to leave their native land entered India through porous Indo-Bangladesh border and reportedly there were several thousands of Burmese families who had unlawfully settled in the outskirts of Jammu city during last one decade or so.
Smelling a deep rooted conspiracy being hatched to settle these immigrants in Jammu region, Gupta divulged that it had been reported that these people had clandestinely managed PRCs, identity cards, ration cards and water and electricity connections for their daily needs due to patronage of some politicians and officials in the administration.
Sena president stated that while the Rohingyas from Myanmar and Bangladeshis could manage to settle in the Jammu in the recent years besides Tibetan refugees enjoying the voting rights in Kashmir, ironically the West Pak refugees being the citizens of India who crossed over to Jammu for safety of their lives during partition, were still struggling for the State Subject rights since 1947.
He stated that if no action is taken against these Bangladeshis then a direct action would be taken by the party and its worker to retrieve the land belonging to the Dogras and Sena may be forced to give  a call for Jammu bandh on the lines of the 2008 Amarnath Land row agitation.
The party leaders who were present in the protest were R.S Pura head Suresh Chinotra, Bodh Raj, Bantu, Sudesh, Ram Paul, Nikku, Pradhanu, Abhishek and  others.
